PENDER COMMUNITY TRANSITION (PCT)
a cooperative alliance for a brighter future

Welcome new people!

Welcome to Pender Community Transition (PCT)!  We are a cooperative alliance for a brighter future, inviting all North and South Pender Island people, families, groups, businesses, and local government reps to help our community respond and become more resilient in the face of worldwide challenges.

PCT is growing on Pender!  We’ve got 7 projects on the go in our second year (beginning in the fall of 2011).  From our B.C., Canada community of 2500, we now involve over 160 supporters representing 20 diverse community organizations.

We are an incorporated non-profit society, drawing from the U.K. Transition Model (for communities to respond cooperatively to peak oil, climate change, global financial instability, and other impacts).  But this is all based on what Penderites decide to co-create for Pender.  You can start with our home page to find out more.

Contact:  We invite you to email info@pendercommunitytransition.ca or call 250-629-3825 if you have any questions, would like to receive PCT announcements, or have some ideas about getting involved.  You can also “Search” by key words under the Categories to the right, to find out more about our website and where you could belong on this transition journey.  Most importantly, you are warmly invited to come make contact at one of our upcoming gatherings!
